William S. Knowles Biography - Nobel Prize Winner (2001)

 

William S. Knowles (born June 1, 1917) is an American chemist. He was born in Taunton, Massachusetts.

He shared one half of the Nobel Prize in Chemistry in 2001 with the Japanese chemist Ryoji Noyori for their work on enantioselective catalysed hydrogenation reactions.

He currently resides in St. Louis, Missouri.
